Annabel introduces the programme from Lllanthony Priory in Wales. The contestants Mark and Sue choose their backpacks. They are then blindfolded and taken to the Jetranger. (1)

The Interceptor is seen testing his infra red projector back at his lair - a high tower somewhere just North of Hay-on-Wye. Mikie then hovers into view and the Interceptor signals that he is ready to go hunting. (2)

Mark is taken to his start position which is on a small mountain - Hay Bluff.

Sue is dropped at her start position - also on high ground at The Begwns.

Annabel relocates to her base which is in the market square of Hay on Wye.
