Mark still on board the Land Rover suddenly spots Hay-on-Wye in the distance. (15)

Mikie is concerned that they have lost a lot of time looking for Sue and they need to get back to the lair and pick up some ground transport for the Interceptor. Mikie plans to guide his boss back into Hay-on-Wye.

Mark arrives in Hay-on-Wye and is greeted by Annabel. She provides Mark with a street map and directs him down to the river.

The Interceptor arrives back at the lair and climbs into the Maserati. (16) He drives towards Hay-on-Wye, directed from the air by Mikie.

Sue catches sight of the key hanging below the bridge and paddles towards it.
