It is a long running problem with the web server at the BBC and is out of my control - simply hit back and try again and it will usually load the page the second time around. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wednesday 16 December 1998: Saturday 12 December 1998: Sean told me that he had lots of pictures that he has kept from his previous job and a few things on video and would it be okay to come up to Nottingham to go through some!! *CHOKE* THAT is why I didn't want to say too much in case it didn't work out, but YES!!!! TODAY!! SEAN WAS HERE!! In fact he left about an hour ago. We spent a few hours going through a big pile of videos and making some clips to put up on the net, but he has also left a a pile of 100 pictures for me to scan. Sean is an
absolutely great guy in real life. He was just so friendly!! He reeled
off loads and loads of It was a very cool afternoon and I won't forget it! It doesn't stop there though. Everything he does from now on, he'll let me know about in advance and then send me pics or videos to include on the site. How cool is all that then? Its not every day you get to meet your hero!! :-) On an Interceptor note, I have some excellent new pics from Sean which I will scan ASAP. I also have a few new movie clips where the Interceptor appeared on Children In Need, complete with black Maserati and also where Sean and Annabel appeared on TV-AM on the morning before the first episode was aired! To top it all, Sean has his Interceptor audition on tape, which lasts for about 5 minutes and consists of him flying around and ad-libbing. Sounds cool! Anyway, thats it! I'm going away now to reflect and to start work! :-) Wednesday 2 December 1998: We had a really cool little chat. Now that its a few hours since he called, I'm sure it was just a dream! :-) The best part was the main topic of conversation. Unfortunately, I don't know at this stage which bits I'm allowed to tell you, but as they say - All will be revealed. I'll sort it out the next time he calls which he will be doing in the next couple of weeks. There is lots more I wish I could brag.....er I mean tell you about, but I daren't....YET! :-) Stay tuned. I think I should point out that the excitement isn't due to a new series of Interceptor or anything like that - I don't want to build your hopes up in that respect. I won't forget this
day in a hurry anyway. My phone bill will be enormous by the time I
finish telling Thursday 29 October 1998: Tuesday 27 October 1998: Tuesday 13 October 1998: Sunday 11 October 1998: I've just put up
another forum entry from another new fan. Tonight's episode of Dream Team on Sky One was pretty good - Sean featured in it quite a bit - even wearing a longcoat again (not leather). I've just added another forum entry. Sunday 13 September 1998: Friday 11 September 1998: Thursday 3 September 1998: It appears that Sean has signed my guestbook again - thanking me for my intense scrutiny of his career! :-) Last bit of news is that my website has a new award! The award of excellence! :-) Thursday 13 August 1998: First of all, it appears that Sean isn't Sean O'Kane's real name. His sister tells me that he is in fact called John!! I've just added the
99th forum entry - so who's going to make it the 100 then eh? :-) Sunday 9 August 1998: Monday 3 August 1998: Saturday 25 July 1998: Friday 24 July 1998: I have the new Sean
O'Kane commercial on tape and hopefully will be able to put a copy up
over the New picture added. Thursday 23 July 1998: Whilst browsing through DejaNews the other night, I found a total of 79 posts in the REC.ARTS groups - having been posted over the last few years. I will be transferring them all to the forum page shortly. Its a long winded process, but I've made a start. There are ten posts there now - I'll be adding more over the weekend. Friday 17 July 1998: I was just starting to feel that maybe the renewed interest in Interceptor was beginning to die off again. I haven't received an email from anyone new in a while and my guestbook hasn't been signed in months. I often speak to Lee Beckett through ICQ and I just thought I would gauge his reaction. He obviously feels very strongly! :) Lee mentions in his mail that I said I would like to hear from people other than Lee. As I say, many people have contacted me and complimented me on this site - I didn't want those people to think I was ungrateful. I merely meant that in recent months, I only seem to be hearing from Lee. Anyway - the site now has a preservation order on it - and it stays! At least ITV can't axe this site like they did Interceptor! Anyone who lives in the South West may be interested to know that Castle Air are offering trips in both an Agusta 109 and a Jetranger this weekend. It is £30 per adult, £25 per child. There is some kind of tall ships festival in Falmouth, and Castle Air are offering to show you the ships from the air. I would have LOVED to have gone!!! A ride in G-MEAN's sister helicopter G-TELY would be unreal!! And who knows - it could even be piloted by Mikie!! If anyone goes, please let me know how it was! See Castle Air's website for more details - www.castleair.co.uk. Did anyone else see Annabel Croft on last week's `The Big Ticket`? :-) |
