Sean grew up in back streets outside Glasgow in a family with twelve siblings where his acting career
began putting on small plays for relatives. The plays continued during school, then after a stint in the territorial army, Sean now 19 set off for a world wide adventure turning his hand to stunt work, modelling and acting in student films.

Arrived Hollywood in the early 80s, now a teenager with a thick moustache which helped him land his first role as Det. McKenzie in Cagney & Lacey. The cast and crew discovered his young age and that he was living in the parking lot in a truck and took him under their wings for the three years and forty-five shows. Having a thick Glasgow accent impeded his chances of speaking on the show, which soon changed later on in his career.
