In the late eighties, the only
regularly updated source of information relating to Interceptor
that I could find was ITV's Teletext service, Oracle. The TV guide
editors seemed to be big fans of the series.
They brought us news of the new
series months before it was actually aired and later broke the
news of the cancellation. They also ran a phone vote to gauge if
the public wanted Interceptor to stay. They kept us up to date for
quite a while after the last episode was shown, even bringing us
quotes from Sean O'Kane himself.
At the time, I remember reading
a poem sent in by a member of the public.
Some fifteen years later, the
original author has e-mailed the poem to me. Continue to the next
page to read it. |
