Mikie guides the Interceptor into a hotel car park at Chipping Campden. The hotel fronts onto the high stret of Chipping Campden, where Mikie can see `some kind of supermarket shopping trolley racing going on.`

Nikky arrives on the outskirts of Chipping Campden.

The Interceptor parks his bike and moves into a tunnel that leads to the main road. As he reaches the road, he spots Annabel on the opposite side and ducks back into the tunnel without being seen. He radios to Mikie to inform him that he's `gonna try for a contestant`. (32)
