Mark describes his surroundings and Annabel deducts that Mark has been dropped on the Isle of Sheppey - his key is at Homestall Orchard. Mark is directed to `The Ferry Inn` on the coast to look for transport to cross Whitstable Bay.

Candy's start position is in a field at Upper Ensign - her key is at Chilham castle. Almost immediately she comes under fire from the Interceptor! He attacks briefly from the air, but "can't get a decent zap" and so heads off to the blue course.  (4)
