Challenges tested contestant's physical and mental abilities to the limit, featuring
high ropes, burning buildings, jousting tournaments, water slaloms and mazes.

In order to escape The Interceptor, contestants were allowed to use any modes
of transport discovered during their journey - these included a milk float,
motorbikes, a Rolls Royce, a lifeboat, a Sea king rescue helicopter, a
hovercraft and even a kiddies go-cart!!

The contestants were in radio contact with each other and with
their guide - presenter, Annabel Croft. Annabel directed them
first towards their keys and then on to a suitable meeting place
to exchange keys. They had 40 minutes to find their partners
key and to meet, and providing they overcame all transport
and orienteering problems and avoided being "zapped" by the
laser projector, they triumphed over The Interceptor.
