G-MEAN also appeared in "Noel's Christmas
Presents" and
"Coupling", although this more recent appearance was
actually a clip taken from a film recorded many years ago.
The aircraft was re-registered again in 1996 and the
yellow stripe was replaced with a silver one before
being sold by Castle Air. Unfortunately on 27th
March 1999 the aircraft suffered a mechanical
failure on the tail rotor assembly and landed
heavily. The pilot and passengers escaped
uninjured however the aircraft was damaged
beyond repair. Returned once again to Castle Air,
the picture on the right indicates all that was left
of G-MEAN (now G-USTA) as of October 2001 as
the aircraft was stripped of salvageable parts.
