Saturday 27 November 1999:
Well, the new Interceptor site is progressing nicely, but its still going to be a while I'm afraid. As a teaser,
I'll let you know that I'm hoping to include some pictures on the site of the pilot episode. In the
meantime
check out the latest post to the forum.
Sunday 10 October 1999:
The new Interceptor site is now officially under
construction!
I've designed the structure of the new site, so now its just a question of adding the
content. Hopefully I will be able to publish the site prior to Christmas. Keep checking
over the next few weeks though - you never know!
Monday 13 September 1999:
Disaster! The servers where the majority if the
Interceptor files are held - movies, sounds etc are now restricting access from external
links - i.e. any links on my site will no longer download the file. I've found a way round
it though and you should find that the movies are now back on-line even though the
thumbnails are missing. Unfortunately the trick I've used requires the opening of a new
small browser window (it will happen automatically). Simply close the window once your
download is underway. I'll be working to fix the rest of the site during this week.
Thursday 9 September 1999:
A new forum posting - from Sean O'Kane - yes THE
Sean O'Kane! :)
Bug fixed - the page not found error upon submitting a forum post.
Thursday 2 September 1999:
A thousand apologies to the people who recently
posted messages to the forum - they weren't immediately entered - they are there now
though. There are four new messages in total - dating back to 20th July. Sorry!
Monday 19 July 1999:
A long time ago...okay - well ten years anyway -
Interceptor was first aired on ITV at 8:00pm. I can hardly believe how quickly the time
has passed. What a shame it is then that there are still people out there who remember and
enjoy the concept of Interceptor and we are STILL waiting for just eight episodes to be
repeated. We're not asking for much are we? The fact that there is still a steady stream
of new visitors to this site all acknowledging the programme and how much it meant to them
just goes to prove what a special show it was.
Happy 10th anniversary Interceptor! Here's hoping for a one off show next year -
Interceptor 2000! Sounds good eh? :)
P.S. This is a message to anyone in a position to buy the rights to show Interceptor again
on UK television - take it from me - it looks as fresh as ever - buy it - you won't regret
it!
Saturday 19 June 1999:
Another forum entry added. Also, as my ISP recently
managed to destroy all of my page counters, I'm switching to a single counter on the first
page. I was getting close to 4000 hits before it was lost and I've received another 100
hits since. I've therefore set the initial counter to 4000.
I recently received a set of original Interceptor slides from Sean and I hope to put some
new images up for you soon. They really are fantastic. Lee Redmayne has a couple of them
and he commented that they were the best he'd ever seen!
Wednesday 16 June 1999:
Forum entry added.
Tuesday 8 June 1999:
I was speaking to Sean last night - like you do! :)
He said to thank all the people who still remember Interceptor and had left messages on
the forum - he spent a while last night reading all the messages.
I recently put together a CD for him that contains both web sites, plus every single movie
clip and image I own. It all only just fits onto a CD. I coded a front end to it, so that
he can have easy access to any movie clip, or launch numerous slide shows - even has a
screen saver mode! :) Anyway! He spent a while looking through all the Interceptor clips
that are already on-line. He hasn't seen any Interceptor footage (apart from one clip when
he came up here) for nine years! He did enjoy watching the tractor ambush again - he was
pis...er....killing himself laughing at it! :) His mate saw it and commented that it
looked a good show - being the first time he'd seen it. Sean did have a suggestion for a
production company that might be interested in a show of this type - Chris Evans - Ginger
Productions. There is a link there in that he is big mates with Paul Gascoigne, who was
the biggest Interceptor fan in the history of the world apparantly. He invited Sean down
to watch him play and dragged him out onto the pitch in front of twenty-five thousand
people. So, who's going to write to Chris Evans then? :)
Oh yeah - I had a flash of inspiration for how the revamped Interceptor site could look.
Its just a question of getting around to it. Anyway - watch this space! :)
Thursday 3 June 1999:
Yes I am still here!
New forum entry added and UK gameshow link on the contacts page updated.
This site is long overdue for a facelift. Suggestions to c h r i s @ s e a n o k a n e . c o m.
Saturday 27 March 1999:
I've been taking a break from this site for a
while. I wanted to do a good job of the Sean O'Kane site and it was a quite an intense
couple of months. Anyway, I've now registed www.seanokane.com
and this site is now available via that address. You can now also e-mail me at c h r i s @ s e a n o k a n e . c o m!
:-)
To tie in with the new domain name I've performed a little more re-structuring. Please let
me know if you see any bugs!
Edit 12 May 2004: Please note - due to the ever increasing amount of spam, these addresses are no longer active. Please visit the forum for further contact information
Sunday 17 January 1999:
No updates for a while - sorry about that. I'm
spending every bit of spare time working on the new Sean O'Kane site at the moment. I'm
really pleased with how its looking, so hopefully you'll all `like it` too! :-) Designing
the new site has really got me in the mood for a new Interceptor site, so as soon as
Sean's site is done and dusted, I'll be starting an all new Interceptor site - well I have
to do SOMETHING to mark the 10th anniversary eh? Watch this space!
